Bathroom Mold: Mix one part hydrogen peroxide with two parts water.  Spray it on the shower tile or other areas, wait an hour and rinse. Repeat if necessary.

Dishwasher soap: Mix equal parts of borax and washing soda. Add more washing soda if your water is hard.

Disinfectant: Mix 2 teaspoons borax, 4 tablespoons vinegar and 3 cups of hot water.  Add ¼ teaspoon of liquid castile soap for tougher jobs.

All-Purpose Cleaner: Mix ½ cup vinegar and ¼ cup baking soda in 2 gallons of water.

Carpet Stains: Mix equal parts white vinegar and water. Spray on the stain and let sit for at least 5 minutes.  Use a scrub brush or sudsy sponge to wipe up.  For heavy traffic areas, use ¼ of salt, borax and vinegar.  Scrub the paste into your carpet and then vacuum after a few hours.
