Food, food, wonderful food!

You knew about Halloween and the threat of chocolate, but how about the fat in candy? Bad, right? It gets worse with holiday food. The holidays are made for family, fun, and lots and lots of food – all of it bad for your pet. It’s tempting to treat the dog to some turkey and dressing, but the dog won’t benefit from it, and neither will you. Not only will the dog get sick, maybe in a place you regret, but the dog may be endangered. Please give your dog and cat food that it’s used to getting. If you’ve switched food on a pet or shifted its feeding times, you know how tough it can be for it. Nothing makes a pet happier than routine, a disciplined regimen. Pets thrive on a predictable schedule of regular pet food. Next up? Thinking of buying someone a pet for a gift these holidays? Let’s think it through and talk about it!
