Are you considering switching your dog to an all Raw Dog Food Diet? Well, if you’re considering switching your dog to an all raw food diet, you might want to know what basic ingredients your dog needs before taking the plunge.  Some people switch over without doing proper research first – and doing so could put your dog at serious risk of illness or injury.  Read on to learn the basic ingredients necessary for the Raw Dog Food Diet.

Ingredients

  1.   Did you know that every part of an egg provides a health benefit to your dog? It does – even the eggshell, which provides your dog with a daily dose of calcium.  Eggs are also a great source of zinc, essential fatty acids, biotin and more!
  2.   Bones are made of up live cells and are necessary for a dog’s body functioning.  Bones are rich with nutrients and miners.  For example, the marrow of the bone contains iron.
  3.   Fruits are necessary for proper development.  They are filled with vitamins, antioxidants, fiber and enzymes.  For example oranges are pears are rich with vitamin C!  Pears are also rich with fiber and potassium!
  4.   More healthy nutrients that promote development!  Vegetables are rich in fiber, antioxidants and vitamins, just like fruits!  For example, if you want the best source for vitamin A, carrots are a perfect choice.  It is also a great source for vitamins B, C, D, E and K – as well as calcium, potassium, iron and more!  Wow.  Who knew that broccoli packed such a powerful punch?
  5.   Small amount of offal is integral to a dog’s raw food diet.  They are concentrated with many nutrients.  Offal can be found in liver, kidneys, trip, and the heart.  Did you know that Tripe is filled with omega-3, fatty acids, and probiotics?
  6.   Meat is a great source of protein and fat, which provides your dog with the energy he needs to efficiently function.  Meat is only a portion of the overall raw diet which is contrary to what many pet parents think.  Meat also has some minerals and other nutrients but should not be relied on entirely for such.
